Swift attended preschool and kindergarten at Alvernia Montessori school. She then transferred to The Wyndcroft School. Later, her family moved to Wyomissing, Pennsylvania, where she attended Wyomissing Area Junior/Senior High School. Swift became interested in musical theater and performed in four Berks Youth Theater Academy productions at the age of nine.
