Colette's husband, Cliff Simon died in a kiteboarding accident in Topanga, California, on 9 March 2021, aged 58. Colette was heartbroken by her husband's sudden and unexpected death. Colette was consoled by several Hollywood friends of Cliff who also expressed their deep sympathy.
She first announced the death of her husband on Facebook on March 9. She has revealed in her long post that her “beloved husband” passed away after a “tragic kitesurfing accident” in Topanga Beach, California. It was noted that he took his last breath from him at 12:30 pm on Tuesday, March 9th.
The statement read: “For friends, family, and fans, it is with unimaginable heartbreak that I share with you that my loving husband, Cliff Simon, passed away at 12:30 pm on Tuesday, March 9, 2021. He was in Topanga Beach, California, and sadly passed away after a tragic kitesurfing accident. ”
Australian-Canadian actor and comedian Peter Kelamis wrote on Twitter: “I am very saddened to learn of the sudden passing of Cliff Simon. Such a kind, talented and thoughtful soul. We will miss you so much my friend. My condolences. Family, and loved ones. RIP “.
