Wahbi Khazri is a French-born Tunisian professional footballer. Currently, he plays as an attacking midfielder or as a forward for Ligue 1 club Montpellier. On the international level, He has represented both France and Tunisia at various age levels. He has represented France at the U21 level and Tunisia at the U20 level. He made his senior international team debut for Tunisia on 7 January 2013.
Khazri began his football journey by joining the youth team of his hometown club JS Ajaccio at the age of four in 1995. In 2003, he began playing for the junior side of the much-known club Bastia FC. He was promoted to Bastia's senior team in 2009. He made his professional debut in February 2009 and quickly became a vital part of the team, as he helped the club reach promotion to Ligue 2 in 2011, and then Ligue 1 in 2012.
On 1st July 2014, he signed up for four years with the Bordeaux. On 30 January 2016, Khazri joined premier league club Sunderland on a four-and-a-half-year contract. On 17 July 2018, he was transferred to AS Saint-Etienne for four years for an initial fee of £6 million. On 27th June 2022, Khazri signed for Ligue 1 side Montpellier.
