Timo Werner Biography

Timo Werner is a German professional footballer who plays as a striker for RB Leipzig and the Germany national team.  Werner claimed the domestic records for being the youngest player to reach 50, 100, 150 and 200 appearances in the Bundesliga, although the former two milestones were broken by Kai Havertz,  and is the youngest player to have scored two goals in a single top-flight match in Germany.

Early Life of Timo Werner 

Timo Werner was born on 6 March 1996 in Stuttgart, Germany.  He holds German nationality and belongs to white European ethnicity. His birth sign is Pisces. His father's name is Günther Schuh who was also a professional footballer and his mother's name is Sabine Werner. He was raised up in his hometown Stuttgart. He studied up to High School and got graduate in 2014 at the age of 17. Growing up he developed his interest in football.

Early (Youth) Career 

Timo Werner began his early football career by joining the VfB Stuttgart football academy at the age of 6 in 2002. He played for the junior team of VfB Stuttgart for 10 years until 2013. 

Professional (Senior) Career

Timo Werner began his professional football career after he was promoted from the junior team of  VfB Stuttgart to the senior team in 2013. He made his senior debut later that year in a 2013–14 UEFA Europa League qualifying phase match against PFC Botev Plovdiv. He played in the 2013-14 and 2014-15  season of Bundesliga from VfB Stuttgart. VfB Stuttgart was relegated in the 2016 season of Bundesliga. He made 95 appearances for VfB Stuttgart and scored 13 goals.  On 11 June 2016 Werner was transferred to newly-promoted Bundesliga club  RB Leipzig for a fee reported being €10 million.  Werner ended the 2016–17 Bundesliga season with 21 goals and helped RB Leipzig qualify for the UEFA Champions League for the first time in the club's history. In March 2018  he helped Leipzig defeat Bayern Munich for the first time ever when he scored the winning goal in a 2–1 victory during the 2017-18 season of Bundesliga. He ultimately went on to score 13 goals and record seven assists for the season.  On 7 October 2018, Werner scored two goals in a 6–0 league win over Nürnberg in the 2018/19 season of Bundesliga.  He reached the milestone of 10 league goals for the season on 16 December after scoring twice in a 4–1 win over Mainz 05. On August 30 2019 he scored his first Bundesliga hat-trick in a 3–1 away victory against Borussia Mönchengladbach in the 2019/20 season of Bundesliga. At the start of the following month, he scored another hat-trick and recorded three assists to guide Leipzig to an 8–0 win over Mainz, their biggest-ever win in the Bundesliga. On 13 March 2020, the DFL suspended the Bundesliga and 2. Bundesliga due to the coronavirus pandemic. After consultation with the German government, the league resumed behind closed doors on 16 May 2020.  So Werner is currently playing to win for the 2019/20 title of Bundesliga after 2 months of self-quarantine.

International Career

Werner was a prolific goalscorer at the youth international level where he scored 34 goals in 48 appearances across the various age-group levels consisting of U15, U16, U17, U19, and U21 teams. He made his senior debut for Germany in 2017 and in the same year helped his nation claim the 2017 FIFA Confederations Cup.
