Sushmita Sen, born on November 19, 1975, with the birth name Sushmita Shubeer Sen, originates from Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh, India. Holding Indian nationality and identifying with Indian-Asian ethnicity, she was born into a Bengali family to her father, Shubeer Sen, a former Indian Air Force Wing Commander, and her mother, Subhra Sen, a jewelry designer and proprietor of a Dubai-based store. Sen's family includes a younger brother named Rajeev Sen, previously married to television actress Charu Asopa, and a sister named Neelam Malik.
