Sushmita Sen, born on November 19, 1975, with the birth name Sushmita Shubeer Sen, originates from Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh, India. Holding Indian nationality and identifying with Indian-Asian ethnicity, she was born into a Bengali family to her father, Shubeer Sen, a former Indian Air Force Wing Commander, and her mother, Subhra Sen, a jewelry designer and proprietor of a Dubai-based store. Sen's family includes a younger brother named Rajeev Sen, previously married to television actress Charu Asopa, and a sister named Neelam Malik. In terms of education, she attended the Air Force Golden Jubilee Institute in New Delhi and St. Ann's High School in Secunderabad but did not pursue any further higher education.
