Simu Liu (born April 19, 1989) is a Canadian actor, director, stuntman, and writer who is best known for the role of Jung in the CBC Television sitcom Kim's Convenience(2016).
Simu is best known for the role of Jung in the CBC Television sitcom comedy TV series Kim's Convenience(2016) and as Paul Xie on the OMNI Television miniseries Blood and Water (2015).
Simu was born in Harbin, China on April 19, 1989, and immigrated to Canada at the age of five, where he was raised in Erin Mills, an area of Mississauga, Ontario. His nationality is Canadian and belongs to Chinese ethnicity. His religion is Buddhist and the zodiac is Aries. He was a student at Ivey Business School. He studied finance and accounting at the University of Western Ontario and worked as an accountant before deciding to pursue a career as an actor.
