Randeep Hooda is an Indian actor. He is famous for his contributions to Hindi cinema and a few English films. His initial career is marked by his debut film "Monsoon Wedding" followed by "Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai" (2010), "Saheb, Biwi Aur Gangster" (2011), "Rang Rasiya" (2014), "Highway" (2014), and "Sarbjit" (2016). He is set to appear in the upcoming 2024 movie film "Struggler," directed by Govind Bhana, alongside Hina Khan. He made his Hollywood debut in 2020 with "Extraction". Beyond acting, he has ventured into stage plays and even debuted as a playwright with an adaptation of Lee Blessing's "A Walk in the Woods." Randeep Hood was born on August 20, 1976. He hails from Rohtak, Haryana, India. About his family, he is the son of his father, Dr. Ranbir Hooda, a medical surgeon, and his mother, Asha Hooda, a dedicated social worker. His religion is Hinduism. Growing up in a family with a strong academic background, Hooda spent much of his childhood in the company of his grandmother in Rohtak, as his parents frequently traveled and resided in the Middle East. The actor has an elder sister, Anjali Hooda Sangwan, who holds medical degrees (MBBS, MD) from both India and the United States, and a younger brother, Sandeep Hooda, employed as a Software Engineer in Singapore. He celebrated his 47th birthday in 2023. 

In terms of education, Randeep Hooda attended the Motilal Nehru School of Sports (MNSS), a boarding school in Rai, Haryana, where he excelled in swimming and equestrian sports, earning national-level medals. Despite his initial inclination toward theatre, Hooda's family aspired for him to pursue a medical career, leading to his transfer to Delhi Public School, R. K. Puram in New Delhi. After completing his schooling, he moved to Melbourne, Australia, in 1995, pursuing a bachelor's degree in marketing and later obtaining a master's degree in business management and human resource management. During this period, he undertook diverse jobs, working in a Chinese restaurant, and a car wash, serving as a waiter, and spending two years as a taxi driver. 

In the year 2000, Hooda returned to India, initially contributing to the marketing department of an airline before delving into modeling and amateur theatre in Delhi. Subsequent films, including "Darna Zaroori Hai" (2006) and "Risk" (2007), were met with limited success.
