Kim Cattrall is a British-born Canadian-American actress. She is one of the longest-serving actresses in Hollywood having her acting career span from 1975 to present which means she has worked in the film industry for more than four decades.

She has received five Emmy Award nominations and four Golden Globe Award nominations, winning the 2002 Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actress. She is well-known for her role as Samantha Jones on HBO's Sex and the City (1998–2004).

She came to prominence in the 1980s with films such as Ticket to Heaven (1981), Police Academy (1984), City Limits (1985), Big Trouble in Little China (1986), Mannequin (1987), Masquerade (1988), Midnight Crossing (1988), and The Return of the Musketeers (1989).


Early Life and Family 

Kim Cattrall was born on 21st  August 1956 in the Mossley Hill district of Liverpool, England, the UK. Her birth name is Kim Victoria Cattrall. She holds three Citizenship including British, English, and Canadian while her ethnicity is white. Leo is her Zodiac sign.

Kim was born to her father Dennis Cattrall who was a construction engineer, and to her mother Gladys Shane who worked as a secretary. When she was three months old, her family emigrated to Canada and settled in Courtenay, British Columbia.

She graduated from Georges P. Vanier Secondary School located in her hometown Courtenay, British Columbia in 1972 and later attended the American Academy of Dramatic Arts after she moved to New York City to pursue an acting career.

Kim is a married woman but of divorced status. She has married three times in her life. Her first marriage was with Larry Davis in 1977 but they got separated in 1979 due to no legal marriage existence or proof.  After three years, She married the second time to a man named Andre J. Lyson in 1982 but the couple got divorced in 1989. 

 Her third marriage was with a more established and high profile man than her first two husbands. The man was an audio designer and jazz bassist Mark Levinson whom she got married from 1998 to 2004.

Talking about her other relationship, she briefly dated former Canadian Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau. She has also been connected to actor Daniel Benzali, musician Gerald Casale of the new wave group "Devo", French public intellectual Bernard-Henri Lévy, and her "Whose Life Is It Anyway?" co-star, Alexander Siddig.
