Jane Seymour first came into the spotlight after portraying the role of psychic Bond girl Solitaire in the James Bond film Live and Let Die (1973). She is best known for her role as Dr. Michaela Quinn in the television series Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman, a medical drama set in the Wild West which earned her two Emmy nominations and four Golden Globe nominations.

Jane Seymour was born on 15 February 1951 in Uxbridge, Middlesex, England, the UK. Her name was registered as Joyce Penelope Wilhelmina Frankenberg at the time of her birth by her parent. She holds British as well as American nationality and belongs to mixed ethnicity. Aquarius is her star sign.

Jane was raised in a mixed culture of Jewish and Christian. She was born to Jewish father Benjamin John Frankenberg, a distinguished gynecologist and obstetrician. Her mother was a Dutch Protestant who was a nurse by profession. She has a sister named Anne Gould who is also an actress. 

For her education, she attended the Tring Park School for the Performing Arts in Hertfordshire. After her education, she started to pursue her career in acting.

She was married a third time to a relatively low profile guy named David Flynn in 1981 with whom she shares two children: Katherine Flynn (born on 7 February 1982) and Sean Flynn (born on 31 July 1985). The couple lived together for a decade and got divorced in 1992 due to the failed business. 

In 1993, she tied the knot fourth time with James Keach, an American actor, and filmmaker. However, the couple get divorced after 12 years in December 2015. Together Jane and James are the parents of their twin sons: Kristopher Steven Keach and John Stacy Keach both born in 1995.
