Hinkle started her international career in 2015 and become the partaker of the winning team for the 2015 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Canada. She appeared in three games for the U.S., as they won the tournament as qualified for the 2016 Summer Olympics. In July 2018, Hinkle participated in the USWNT training camp for the 2018 Tournament of Nations. Currently, Hinkle plays for North Carolina Courage of the National Women's Soccer League.
