Hope Hicks is an American Public Relations Consultant from Greenwich, Connecticut. She is widely recognized as former White House Communications Director for Donald Trump, U.S President. She served from August 2017 to 29th March 2018. She is a well known American celebrity as well.
Hope was born in Greenwich, Connecticut on October 21, 1988. She is the daughter of Caye Ann (Cavender) Hicks and Paul Burton Hicks III, Jewish religion, caucasian white ethnicity, Her real name is Hope Charlotte Hicks. Her father was an executive for Ogilvy, a global marketin6g, and PR agency. He now heads up a marketing firm Glover Park Group. In addition, her mother was a former aide to a Democratic congressman. During her childhood, she was a model, actress, and lacrosse player. She became a teenage model, including for a Ralph Lauren campaign with her older sister Mary Grace at age 11. She holds the American nationality and belongs to the North American Jewish ethnic background.
Hope attended Greenwich High School. There, she was co-captain of the lacrosse team. She graduated from there in 2006. Later, she attended the Southern Methodist University and majored in English, and played lacrosse on a club lacrosse program that she helped start. She graduated in 2010.
Initially, Hope started in public relations with the New York City firm, Zeno Group. Next, she started working for public relations firm Hiltzik Strategies. Her big break came after she joined the Trump Organization full-time in August 2014. Furthermore, she worked for Ivanka Trump inside Trump Tower. At age 26, Donald Trump earmarked Hope for the role of press secretary in January 2015. She had no political experience prior to the Trump campaign. She took dictation from Trump for his tweets. Furthermore, she did not intend on playing such a large role in a presidential campaign.
In the campaign, she played the role of gatekeeper and helped to press members who wanted to speak with Trump. Later, it was announced that Hope would become part of the Trump Administration on December 22, 2016. Recently on August 16, 2017, she was made the interim White House Communications Director.
On September 12, 2017, she became the permanent White House Communications Director. Apart from her political works, Hope also appeared on the cover of a Gossip Girl series offshoot. Additionally, she was also tapped as the face of the Hourglass Adventures which is a set of novels about a time-traveling 10-year-old. She also had a cameo on ‘Guiding Light’.
